Muscat – The second stage of the race lived up to expectations with a thrilling conclusion. Vervaeke, along with fellow breakaway riders Rodrigo Alvaréz, Xabier Mikel Azparren, Magnus Kulset, Kane Richards, and Mohammed Al Wahibi, formed the day’s escape group.
In the closing kilometers, Vervaeke showed great resilience, holding off the fast-approaching peloton to claim victory by a narrow margin.
