MUSCAT: Her Highness the Honourable Lady Sayyida Ahad Bint Abdullah Al Busaidi, Spouse of His Majesty Sultan Haitham Bin Tarik, received popular Lebanese singer Majida El Roumi at Al Barakah Palace.
During the meeting, the Honourable Lady discussed historical relations between Oman and Lebanon especially in the cultural, artistic and social fields. The Honourable Lady also wished her pleasant stay in Oman.
For her part, Majida El Roumi spoke about her career and expressed her happiness and gratitude
for the warm reception and appreciation she received since her arrival in the Sultanate.

The Lebanese singer who is also the United Nations Goodwill Ambassador performed at the Royal Opera House Muscat recently. Known throughout the Arab world as the ‘Angel of Tarab’ and ‘Star of Peace’, El Roumi filled the opera house with beautiful poetry in her unique voice, delivering songs of love, humanity, and patriotic feeling.
