MUSCAT: The Oman Football Association (OFA) elections for 2025-2029 will be held on June 25, 2025.
The announcement was made by Sheikh Salim Al Wahaibi, Chairman of OFA during the Annual General Assembly held on Monday.
During the meeting several topics including approving the requirements for candidacy for the federation. According to the regulations, a candidate filing nomination for the post of Chairman must have a university degree of no less than a bachelor’s degree recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, and the candidate for any of the other seats within OFA must have a university degree or must have previously served as a member of the Board of Directors or one of the clubs for at least one session, or must have previously represented the first national team, or must be a former international referee, or a coach holding a professional training certificate (Pro). The meeting also approved the Players Association regulations and formed the electoral committees. The meeting was also attended by officials from Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth and members of the clubs.
