Muscat: Oman started strong, showing urgency and attacking intent in the opening minutes, a sharp contrast to their previous struggles in the Asian Qualifiers. Despite finding gaps in Kuwait’s defense, Oman couldn’t capitalize, while the hosts relied on patience to build their rhythm.
Kuwait, initially struggling to find coherence, turned the tide with a brilliant cross that was expertly converted by Yousef Al Sulaiman in the 34th minute, giving them a crucial lead.
But before Kuwait took the lead ahead Oman come back in quick succession in the 42nd minute to equalise as Issam Al Sabhi scores.
