MUSCAT : This initiative aims to elevate service standards in Oman’s commercial, industrial, and economic sectors, promote healthy competition among enterprises, and foster continuous service improvement for consumers.
As part of these preparations, the CPA held a training workshop for the evaluation team, which includes representatives from various entities. The workshop focused on familiarizing team members with the evaluation methodology and criteria that will guide the assessment of participating establishments.
Following the workshop, the team will visit five selected malls to evaluate businesses against these criteria.
The Consumer-Friendly Enterprises initiative is expected to reduce the number of consumer complaints, enhance consumer awareness regarding their rights and the responsibilities of suppliers, and improve understanding among employees in commercial, industrial, and service establishments. Additionally, the initiative aims to support sustainable business practices that contribute to a consumer-centric market.
