Muscat: On Monday, November 4, 2024, the Thumrait Primary Court delivered a final judicial ruling against three citizens for the felony of hunting protected wildlife and possessing an unlicensed traditional weapon. Alongside a fine, the court ordered the confiscation of various items, including the weapon, ammunition, binoculars, and mobile phones involved in the crime.
The Environment Authority reminds the public to respect wildlife laws and refrain from actions that harm natural ecosystems. Violators, as evidenced by this recent ruling, may face serious legal consequences.
