26 government agencies participate in program for sustainability of investments in Oman

Muscat: The Control Authority has launched its “Sustainability of Government Investments in the Governorates” training program. This vital initiative, taking place from November 5th to 7th at the Intercity Hotel in Nizwa, gathers over 26 government agencies, including general managers, department heads, and internal audit units, to discuss and learn about sustainable investment strategies and practices.

The training targets employees involved in project and investment management across the Al Dakhiliyah and Al Wusta Governorates. It will focus on a range of critical areas, from understanding sustainable development strategies to evaluating investment performance and tackling fraud and corruption in public sector projects.

The program aims to build professional competencies among participants, empowering them with the tools needed to ensure that government investments are managed effectively and ethically. Key topics will include strategic approaches to sustainability, effective project oversight, and how to detect and prevent financial misconduct in development projects.
