MUSCAT : Speaking on the sidelines of the signing ceremony, H.E. Sheikh Hilal bin Saeed Al Hajri, Governor of Al Dakhiliyah, explained that the governorate is implementing a number of development projects aimed at enhancing sustainable development and meeting the needs and aspirations of the governorate’s people. “This reflects our commitment to achieving the goals outlined in our current five-year plan,” he stated.
He also highlighted that the Jebel Shams Grand Canyon project was recognized as the best development proposal in the governorate’s competition for 2024. This project aligns with the directives to develop the governorates and is in line with Oman Vision 2040.
“This tourism development project is inspired by the surrounding environment and features a sustainable design that ensures compatibility between place and people. It aims to maximize the benefits from available opportunities and is expected to create 306 job opportunities and 24 investment opportunities,” Al Hajri added.
The project site holds strategic importance, linking Al Dakhiliyah Governorate with the South Al Batinah and Ad Dhahirah Governorates, further enhancing regional connectivity.
