Muscat – The Ministry, represented by the General Directorate of Standards and Metrology, has announced that the standard (GSO2021/1943) on safety requirements for cosmetics and personal care products has been updated, as per Ministerial Decision No. 2021/199.
Accordingly, the Ministry advises economic operators (manufacturers and importers) in the field of cosmetics and personal care products, as well as local conformity certification bodies and laboratories, to apply the latest version of the standard, (GSO2024/1943). This updated standard is now available in Arabic and English in the Oman Standards Store via a QR code.
