Muscat: The complaint detailed an agreement with the contractor to conduct painting services for the consumer’s residence; however, the work reportedly failed to meet agreed standards and showed issues such as peeling and visible errors. Frustrated with the outcome, the consumer sought assistance from the Directorate, requesting compensation for the substandard work.
Following the complaint, the Directorate intervened by summoning both parties for a mediation session, during which a settlement was reached. As part of the agreement, the company agreed to reimburse the consumer the full amount of RO 1,770, covering both the cost of the paint and labor initially paid.
