Here is the list of the best feel-good movies on friendship to watch or binge-watch this weekend.

Wild Child

One morning in her lovely bedroom on Malibu Beach, Poppy (Emma Roberts) awakens to the news that her new stepmother will be moving in. She acts, bringing a group of pals over to loot the moving truck and destroy or steal anything her stepmother has. She then leaps into the water from a ledge. Furious and flushed, her father (Aidan Quinn) chastises her and sends her to an all-girls boarding school in England.

She strives to break as many regulations as possible to get expelled from school and return to Malibu. Her roommates somehow put up with her long enough to assist her in her plan to get expelled. The teenagers connect and make friends in the interim. Poppy has completely matured and learned the value of true friendship by the time she is taken before the school’s Honor Court. Is it too late, though?

Kho Gaye Hum Kahan

Imaad Ali (Siddhant Chaturvedi) and Ahana Singh (Ananya Panday) are closest friends and roommates. Imad would joke that they are in a spaceship since they give each other adequate room by remaining in their rooms. The third member of this three, Neil Pereira (Adarsh Gourav), is their closest buddy and a gym trainer who hopes to open a chain of fitness facilities. In this Mumbai-based trio of young adults who may not fully comprehend one another’s goals in life or at work, there is always a feeling of understanding, unspoken empathy, and a sincere attempt to support one another. While attempting to make something of their lives, they all learn that their attempts to stay connected online have really caused them to lose sight of real life.

Lost in the maze of everyday commotion, they frequently turn to social media for comfort rather than each other’s companionship as they browse other people’s ostensibly joyful lives. The core of Kho Gaye Hum Kahan is the collision of their tales of passion, tragedy, and ambition—not in the actual world, but in the virtual one.

A Beautiful Day In The Neighbourhood

The biopic A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood is based on the improbable friendship that existed in real life between journalist Tom Junod (played by Matthew Rhys) and Fred Rogers (played by Tom Hanks). A fictionalized Junod, the film’s cynical writer Lloyd is reluctant to accept that Mister Rogers on television can be “the nicest man on earth,” but as they become closer, Lloyd’s life gradually changes on a personal and professional level. Many viewers will find Hanks’ portrayal of Rogers compelling enough, and children familiar with Rogers’ program and legacy would be interested in learning if the guy in the cardigan was so kind and giving (spoiler alert: he was!).

This movie, which is based on the real-life tale of Fred Rogers, examines the interaction between a journalist and a well-known television personality, highlighting compassion and empathy. The fact that A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD does not follow its main subject for a significant amount of their life makes it different from other biopics. Instead, the film centres on the transformative friendship between Fred Rogers (Tom Hanks) and Lloyd Vogel (played by Matthew Rhys), a journalist for Esquire magazine who is modelled on real-life writer Tom Junod. Lloyd is tasked with creating a profile on Rogers for a special cultural hero spread. Lloyd, who has recently become a dad with his loving wife, Andrea (Susan Kelechi Watson), and is separated from his father, Jerry (Chris Cooper, always a delight to watch), is shocked to see that Rogers is as kind as he appears. Lloyd and Rogers establish an odd bond beyond writer and source after their brief first encounter on Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood set.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

After Kabir gets engaged, ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA follows Arjun (Hrithik Roshan), Kabir (Abhay Deol), and Imran (Farhan Akhtar), who were childhood best friends, as they take a bachelor road trip across Spain. The three of them enjoy spending time together and participating in exhilarating adventure sports, but their own personal problems also plague them. Can they help one another and gain knowledge from their experiences?

Zoya Akhtar’s play aims to amuse while conveying important lessons about the worth of friendships, relationships, and life. Three childhood pals have a heartwarming bromance in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Though sometimes a little corny, it attempts to approach some of life’s problems from a philosophical standpoint. However, despite how seriously it takes itself, the outcome is more of a lighthearted fantasy movie that should not be taken too seriously due to its liberal use of goofy comedy. The movie also adopts a privileged stance, implying that a lavish road trip to another nation may remedy any problem. In this instance, it uses sweeping views and a touristic look to depict Spain. But if you look past this, you’ll discover a Bollywood film full of personality that is more than entertaining.
