Muscat Stock Exchange gains momentum with index up by 10.6 points

The Muscat Stock Exchange “30” index closed today at 4,813.05 points, marking an uptick of 10.6 points or 0.22 per cent from yesterday’s closing of 4,802.43 points.

MUSCAT : Trading value saw a significant jump, reaching approximately RO 3.44 million, a notable increase of 13.5 per cent compared to the previous session when trading value stood at RO 3.03 million. This surge in trading signals growing confidence among investors in the Omani market.

According to the latest report from the Muscat Stock Exchange, the overall market value also experienced a slight rise, increasing by 0.178 percent since the last trading day, bringing it to around RO 24.76 billion.

However, the report also highlighted a disparity in non-Omani investments. The value of non-Omani purchases amounted to RO 237,000, accounting for 6.88 per cent of total trading, while non-Omani sales reached RO 597,000, representing 17.34 per cent. This resulted in a net decrease in the non-Omani investment of RO 360,000, equivalent to 10.46 per cent.
