MUSCAT : Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, national team coach Rashed Jaber emphasized the importance of Thursday’s match, calling it a fresh start for his squad.
“The results of the previous match were not positive, and we would like to start with the next match,” Jaber said, acknowledging the team’s recent setbacks.
Kuwait, a formidable opponent, remains unbeaten after two games. “We will play against a team that has not lost a single match, therefore, we need focus, effort and passion in this match,” said coach Jaber.

Despite Kuwait’s strong form, Jaber expressed confidence in his players’ ability to rise to the challenge. “Tomorrow’s match is not easy, but it’s also not difficult for us if our focus is good,” he stated, adding that the match represents a crucial opportunity to improve Oman’s standing in the group.
The crucial clash between Oman and Kuwait in the next round of Asian Qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup will kick off tomorrow, Thursday, at 8 pm (Oman time) at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Baushar.
