MUSCAT : The service utilizes PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) digital certification to ensure the highest level of data protection.

In a notice issued online, the Municipality stated: ‘’Renewing or registering new rent contracts has become easier than ever, thanks to the PKI digital certification service!

“You can now renew your lease quickly, easily, and with the highest security standards through our digital platforms, ensuring that your rights are protected.’’

Residents can utilize the ‘Baladiyati’ app to access the PKI electronic certification services.

To renew or register a rent contract, users can follow the following steps:

1. Select the ‘Rent Contract’ icon from the main menu of the app for PKI electronic certification services.
2. Accept the electronic verification information and enter the pin code for PKI.
3. On the dashboard, ensure that your user information is updated
4. Choose the ‘Rent Contract’ service from the list.
   
   Before accessing the service, users are reminded to activate their phone’s SIM card for PKI electronic certification through their telecom provider. Once ready, users can fill in the necessary details of their contract and attach the required documents. After reviewing the entered information, they can simply submit the application.
