Muscat – His Highness Sayyid Fahd met with the delegation heads on the sidelines of the ongoing Conference of Ministers of Education of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), hosted by the Sultanate of Oman.
During the meeting, the heads of delegations conveyed their greetings and best wishes to the leadership of Oman, expressing hopes for continued success and prosperity for the people of Oman.
His Highness Sayyid Fahd emphasized Oman’s commitment to supporting the efforts of ISESCO in promoting joint educational, scientific, and cultural initiatives among Islamic nations. He praised the organization’s vital role in advancing scientific research, enhancing educational curricula, and leveraging technological advancements to foster sustainable development across member states.
The discussions also covered key agenda topics for the conference, which includes participants from 47 countries. The conference aims to bolster cooperation in education, culture, and scientific research while preserving heritage for future generations. Additionally, the role of ISESCO in fostering understanding between nations and mitigating conflicts was highlighted.
The heads of delegations expressed their gratitude to the Sultanate of Oman for its meticulous preparations for the conference, commending the Omani leadership for the significant progress achieved across various sectors.
The meeting was attended by Her Excellency Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education; His Excellency Dr. Salim bin Mohammed Al-Malik, Director-General of ICESCO; and Her Excellency Ambassador Amina bint Salem Al Balushi, Permanent Representative of Oman to UNESCO.
