Muscat: The week-long EU Film Festival, organized by the French Embassy in collaboration with the International Film Foundation of Oman (IFFO), marks a historic milestone as Oman hosts the festival for the first time. Fifteen films from nine EU countries, including France, Germany, Italy, and Spain, were screened during the event.
Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi attended the grand closing ceremony of the European Union Film Festival at VOX Mall of Oman today. Adding to the excitement, the teaser for his next film, Mr. and Mrs. Grey, also launched during the event.
The festival, launched on September 23 with the Dutch documentary Iceberg Riders, ends tonight. IFFO, known for its initiative “Arabwood”, which promotes film production in Oman, made further strides in fostering the local film industry through international collaborations like the EU Film Festival.
