It is a vision that seeks to achieve peace and relations based on mutual respect, positive cooperation and harmony between countries.
“The Sultanate of Oman, its leadership, government and people, believe in using legitimate and peaceful means to resolve issues and conflicts. Based on this, my country calls for an immediate cessation of fighting and ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, Lebanon and the Red Sea region. We stress the need to address the causes of the conflict by ending the illegal Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories, achieving justice for the Palestinian people on the basis of the two-state solution and establishing an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital on the 1967 borders.

“My country also stresses the need to grant Palestine full membership in the United Nations, put an end to the policy of genocide practiced by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people and alleviate the humanitarian suffering imposed on them.

“We believe in the importance of intensifying efforts to contain escalation and tension and stop the bloodshed by resorting to rational dialogue, the rules of international law, the United Nations Charter, and international legitimacy resolutions. This translates as respecting the sovereignty of states, the unity of their territories, and non-interference in their internal affairs, in a way that guarantees all countries and peoples the right to live in security, peace, and dignity.

“The Sultanate of Oman is moving forward with its social protection programmes, through an integrated system that supports various segments of society, including women, children, the elderly, and people with disabilities, as well as social insurance and job security programmes. This is an indicator of the progress achieved by Oman in the field of sustainable development, and its continuous efforts to develop these programmes in line with the best international practices, in addition to providing educational, health and social care to all segments of society.

“My country also affirms its continuous support for youth and their empowerment, as they are the pillar of the future and the focus of sustainable development. We believe that youth are the driving force for innovation, construction and development, and the creation of opportunities that enable them to employ their skills and contribute effectively to building the future.

“My country stresses the importance of promoting respect and peaceful coexistence among peoplesand calls for combating all forms of discrimination, racism, hatred and violence.

“My country is also making great efforts to address the challenges of climate change, reduce emissions, and stimulate investment in renewable energy projects, in accordance with the 2050 Carbon Neutrality Strategy, through clean energy projects, green hydrogen, and solutions that rely on nature as an approach. This is based on our belief in the importance of protecting the environment, preserving natural resources for future generations, and achieving a balance between economic development and environmental sustainability.

“The state’s efforts and development programs are in line with its national vision, embodied in Oman Vision 2040, which is considered the cornerstone for achieving economic and social development goals and facing future challenges. In this context, the Sultanate of Oman submitted its second voluntary national report, which reflects its deep commitment to the principles and global goals of sustainable development, and highlights the progress achieved in various development fields.
“In this context, we are pleased to welcome the adoption of the Future Summit Charter this year and appreciate the joint international efforts that led to this achievement, which sets a roadmap for the world towards enhancing international cooperation and effectively confronting global challenges with sincere and constructive cooperation.

“Accordingly, we call upon all member states to commit to implementing this charter and working to achieve its vision and objectives through fruitful cooperation and knowledge exchange, and to adopt it as a path towards achieving a better, safer and more prosperous future for future generations.”
