Muscat – At the ongoing dialogue session, the TRA highlighted alarming statistics regarding internet usage among children in the Sultanate of Oman.
According to officials, 86 percent of children are now using the internet, with 21 percent spending more than five hours daily on social media platforms.
The meeting also highlighted significant concerns regarding fraudulent messages circulating via WhatsApp. Eng. Faisal Al Shakili, Director of the Technical Specifications Department, reported that a majority of these messages originate from international numbers, often advertising job opportunities that may be scams
