Muscat: With the qualifiers fast approaching, Oman’s new coach Rashid Jaber has handpicked a squad of 28 players, which will be trimmed to 23 just 48 hours before their match against Kuwait on October 10.
Jaber’s technical team includes three assistant coaches—Ammar Shafiq, Adel Abbas, and Yaqoub Al-Subahi—who will work closely with the head coach. Mohammed Waseem has been appointed as the assistant coach for physical preparation, while Al-Mabrouki Al-Shadhili will take on the role of goalkeeper coach.
Starting today, Jaber will lead an intensive internal training camp at the Sultan Qaboos Complex Stadium, aiming to fine-tune his squad for the Kuwait showdown. Twelve days remain before the October 10 match, after which the team will head to Amman for a clash against Jordan’s Al-Nashama on October 15.
