MUSCAT : The Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology has announced that it has exceeded its employment targets for technical, specialized, and craft road projects, reaching 166% by the end of the third quarter of this year. The original target for 2024 was to create 200 job opportunities, while to date, 333 job opportunities for Omanis have been achieved across various companies operating in the road sector.

The Ministry has implemented a series of initiatives aimed at providing job opportunities for Omanis in various fields and sectors. These initiatives also align with the Ministry’s broader effort to localize (Omanize) a large number of positions, including technical, specialized, and administrative roles, alongside craft and manual jobs. The Labor Market Regulation Committee within the logistics sector is focused on the targets outlined in the Ministry’s Key Objectives Card, set by the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit.

It is also noteworthy that the Ministry monitors all companies for compliance with employment quotas and takes the necessary actions against those that do not meet the specified employment targets.
