JAPAN : Despite the team’s best efforts, their BMW M4 GT3 car struggled to keep pace on the notoriously challenging circuit, resulting in a less-than-ideal qualification position.
With the competition fierce and the Fuji track proving less favourable to their car’s technology, Al Harthy and his team—comprising Italian world champion Valentino Rossi and Belgian racer Maxime Martin—couldn’t crack the top ten needed to advance to the Hyper Pole qualifying trials.
The upcoming 6-hour Fuji race promises to be grueling. Al Harthy acknowledges that while qualifying didn’t go as hoped, race day often tells a different story.

Supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, OQ Group, Omantel, Discover Oman, and BMW Oman, Al Harthy remains optimistic. He highlighted that this season has been particularly challenging with dual championships, and despite facing technical difficulties, the team is determined to fight for podium spots.
The WRT team is already strategizing post-qualifying adjustments to enhance their BMW’s competitiveness against rivals like Mercedes, Aston Martin, and Ferrari.
