Muscat – In a disclosure to the Muscat Stock Exchange, the company confirmed that an independent consultant’s report has identified discrepancies in some brokerage accounts and client balances. As a result, the Board of Directors has initiated legal proceedings against the employees involved in the misconduct.
The disclosure reads as follows: “Further to the disclosure issued on 10th of March 2024, regarding the appointment of an independent consultant to review differences in brokerage accounts, the Company would like to disclose that an initial report from the independent consultant was received, and it confirmed the existence of some differences in brokerage accounts and some of clients’ balances.”
“After confirming such results, the Board of Directors took the necessary additional measures, including starting legal action against employees of the company who were named in the independent consultant’s report for their involvement in these abuses. We assure that this issue did not affect the Company’s operations, and any updates on this regard will be disclosed in due course.”
