MUSCAT : The match, scheduled for 6 pm at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher, is a crucial opportunity for Oman to recover from their previous defeat against Iraq, the leader of Group Two.

Coach Jaroslav Šilhavý emphasized the importance of the upcoming game in a press conference earlier today. “South Korea is one of the strongest teams in our group, and this match is crucial for us. We are determined to win and make up for the loss against Iraq,” Šilhavý stated.

He highlighted that the team’s preparation has been rigorous, with a focus on technical skills and tactical strategies. The coach assured that the team is well-prepared, emphasizing that they do not rely on any single player and are ready with alternative plans for various scenarios.

Player Ali Al Busaidi echoed the coach’s sentiments, expressing confidence in the team’s readiness and the vital support from fans. “We are fully prepared for tomorrow’s match and are determined to secure a win. The support from our fans is greatly appreciated and motivates us to achieve our goal,” Al Busaidi said.

South Korean coach Hong Myung-bo acknowledged the challenges of the game but expressed confidence in his team. “This is our first away match in the qualifiers, and while it will be challenging, we are focused on securing a positive result. Our players are highly experienced, and I trust in their ability to perform well,” Hong stated.

The match will be officiated by Chinese international referee Ma Ning, with Fei Zhuo and Sheng Zhang as assistant referees, and Di Wang as the fourth official. Fu Ming will oversee the video assistant referee (VAR) technology, supported by Shen Yinhu, with additional supervision from Emirati Ali Hamad Al-Badawi and Lebanese Bassem Al-Zuhairi.

In preparation for the match, the Directorate General of Sports Activities at the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Youth has implemented several measures to enhance the fan experience. Saud bin Badr Ambusaidi, Assistant Director General, announced that four main gates will be opened for public access, with Gate No. 5 reserved for South Korean supporters. The gates will open at 3:00 PM to ensure smooth entry and avoid congestion.

Ambusaidi also noted that free drinking water will be provided, along with mobile food carts and promotional T-shirts. Additional activities will take place in the complex’s internal courtyard to engage and entertain fans.
