Concurrently, the workforce in the city grew to 19,854 employees, with an Omanisation rate exceeding 33 percent.

Eng. Mohsin Al Hinai, CEO of Al Rusayl Industrial City, highlighted the city’s long-standing role in Oman’s industrial sector, noting its establishment in 1983. Since its inception, Rusayl has seen substantial growth in both project numbers and allocated areas. The city’s area has expanded from 3.5 million square meters to 10.5 million square meters, with approximately 6.8 million square meters developed and about 95 percent occupied.

In a recent update to the Oman News Agency, Al Hinai detailed the completion of several vital infrastructure projects aimed at boosting logistics and industrial development. These include the development of a 500,000-square-meter logistics area and a 2.4 million-square-meter second phase, at a total cost of approximately RO 37.8 million. These enhancements are designed to support the city’s growing logistics and industrial needs while stimulating economic growth.

The city has also made significant improvements to its road infrastructure, optimizing traffic flow and reducing congestion. Upgrades include the rehabilitation of roads to meet international standards and the implementation of a modern fiber optic network to enhance communication services.

The CEO also pointed out that Madayn is currently exploring sustainable development initiatives, including the purification and reuse of treated water for industrial purposes and the integration of advanced monitoring and surveillance technologies to improve operational efficiency and environmental safety.

Al Hinai emphasized ongoing efforts to beautify the main entrance to Rusayl Industrial City, reflecting Madayn’s commitment to sustainable development and elevated service standards, positioning Rusayl as a leading industrial hub in the region.
