QATAR : Led by Her Excellency Dr. Laila bint Ahmed bin Awadh Al Najar, Minister of Social Development, Oman joined fellow GCC nations to discuss key strategies that will drive social progress in the region. The meeting focused on several crucial agendas, including the Social Development Strategy for the Gulf Cooperation Council Countries (2021-2025) and the Joint Charitable and Humanitarian Action Plan (2020-2025).
A critical highlight was the review of the Joint Gulf Action Strategy for Women’s Affairs (2025-2030), emphasizing the empowerment and inclusion of women across all sectors. Additionally, discussions covered the preparations for the Seventh Gulf Theatre Festival for People with Disabilities, an event that celebrates the talents and achievements of people with disabilities in the GCC.
The meeting also included the third report on implementing and monitoring the Human Rights Convention concerning persons with disabilities, alongside the introduction of the first Arab report on persons with disabilities.
