MUSCAT : The ROP also emphasize that this academic year should mark the beginning of a new phase in traffic awareness and discipline, aimed at enhancing community safety.

With the start of the school year, the ROP urges all drivers to remain vigilant, particularly in and around school zones and bus routes. Drivers are reminded to stop immediately when they encounter a school bus that is picking up or dropping off students, and to give children priority when crossing the road.

Promoting conscious and careful driving in these areas is crucial for protecting young students and ensuring their safety on the roads, the ROP states.
