Muscat –The operation took place in the Wilayat of Seeb, where officials from the Compliance and Risk Assessment Department stopped the vehicles based on suspicious activity.
On inspection, authorities discovered over 3,500 cartons of cigarettes concealed within suitcases and wooden boxes. The seized cigarettes were deemed restricted or prohibited due to their potential health risks or non-compliance with import regulations.
A video footage of the operation has been released by Oman Customs, demonstrating the officers’ actions – from the initial stop of the vehicles to the discovery and seizure of the contraband.
