Muscat – Patronised by His Excellency Abdulsalam Al Murshidi, President of Oman Investment Authority (OIA), The Arabian Stories’ (TAS) inaugural ‘Themar Islamic Banking Conference and Excellence Awards, is supported by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) as the Strategic Partner and the Oman Banks Association as the Logistics Partner.
The Excellence Awards will honour outstanding achievements in seven key categories: Best Islamic Bank, Best Islamic Banking Window, Best Sharia-Compliant Investment, Best Takaful Financing and Insurance Companies, Digital Transformation, Sustainability, and Startups.
This initiative aims to celebrate and acknowledge institutions and individuals who demonstrate exceptional performance and innovation in Sharia-compliant financial services.
Participation is open to both individuals and institutions involved in Sharia-compliant investments or services. To qualify, institutions must have been operational for at least three years, and their investment and endowment funds or programs should have been established for a minimum of two years. A rigorous evaluation process will be based on realistic performance indicators.
A distinguished panel of experts has been appointed to ensure a comprehensive and unbiased evaluation. The panel comprises of His Highness Dr. Adham Al Said, Assistant Professor at Sultan Qaboos University’s College of Economics and Political Science; Dr. Siham Al Harthy, Chairman of Sama Real Estate Company and Board Member of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Dr. Ashraf Al Nabhan, former Chairman of the Muscat Securities Market; and Dr. Ahmed Kashoub, Chairman of the Index Center for Economic and Financial Consultations.
