Muscat – More than 60,000 teachers will return to schools on Monday, August 26, while students will join classes from September 1. Alongside the teaching staff, administrators, supervisors, and support personnel will also begin their preparations to ensure a smooth transition for the students.
The total number of teachers in government schools has reached 61,195, taking the Omanisation rate to 87.6 percent. These educators are distributed among 1,269 schools nationwide.
The administrative and technical staff in government schools have also seen a substantial presence, with a total of 10,652 members (4,306 males and 6,346 females), highlighting an Omanisation rate of 99.8 percent.
Special education schools have a combined total of 220 teachers, maintaining a high Omanisation rate of 93 percent.
