Muscat: Five people were swept away in Wadi Tanuf in Nizwa after 16 people from a multinational mountain hiking group were exposed to heavy rains.
Among the victims were a citizen and three individuals of Arab nationalities who sadly lost their lives. Another member of the group was critically injured and was swiftly airlifted by police aircraft to Nizwa Reference Hospital.
