MUSCAT : As predicted by Oman Meteorology earlier today, cumulus clouds have developed into intense thunderstorms, now lashing the governorates of North Al Sharqiyah, Ad Dakhiliyah, Ad Dhahirah, and Al Buraimi. The storms, which began around 3:00 pm, are accompanied by active winds and hail, creating hazardous conditions in these regions.
Authorities predict that the storms may expand further, potentially affecting the desert areas adjacent to the Al Hajar Mountains as the evening progresses.
