MUSCAT : The ROP stated that its Al Dakhiliyah Governorate Police Command has apprehended two individuals of Arab nationality accused of defrauding employees in multiple local shops.
The suspects employed a distraction technique, presenting a high-value banknote to the shopkeepers and requesting change. While the employees were distracted, the suspects would discreetly replace the genuine banknote with a counterfeit one.
The ROP has initiated legal proceedings against the arrested individuals.
