MUSCAT : This initiative is spearheaded by a consortium of prominent organizations, including Oman Investment Authority’s subsidiaries FDO and Al Wusta Fisheries Industries Company (AWFI), ASYAD Ports, and SAS Ker-Oman, which represents the French fishing port of Lorient.

Marsa Al Duqm Investment LLC, which has been granted an exclusive operational concession by the Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm (SEZAD), will oversee the development, management, and operation of the Duqm Fisheries Harbour. This presents a significant opportunity for investors looking to engage in the fisheries sector within a strategically important economic zone.

All investment proposals must adhere to the stipulations set forth by the Royal Decree No 112/2011 concerning the Protection of Public Funds and Avoidance of Conflicts of Interest. This regulation ensures that investments are conducted with transparency and integrity.

The invitation extends to qualified companies interested in establishing fishery-related businesses within the Duqm Special Economic Zone. The port, once fully operational, will offer a range of services, including fish landing, processing, storage, and distribution.
