Muscat – In total, Muscat International Airport handled 7,571,148 passengers in 2024, compared to 6,949,202 in 2023. This represents a substantial increase compared to the previous year.
International passenger numbers rose by 9 percent to reach 6,949,193, up from 6,374,797 last year. Domestic travel also saw an increase, with passenger figures growing by 8.3 percent to 621,955, compared to 574,405 in 2023.
In Salalah, passenger traffic also demonstrated growth. By the end of July 2024, Salalah Airport had welcomed 827,486 passengers, an increase from 750,251 in 2023. This includes 392,098 international passengers arriving on 3,088 flights and 435,388 domestic passengers from 2,888 flights.
As per previous figures, the Sultanate of Oman attracted over two million visitors in the first half of 2024.
