MUSCAT : Amidst online chatter, the bank confirms that merchants, not customers, are responsible for payment processing fees when transactions are made via the merchant’s Quick Response (QR) Code. This method proves to be the most cost-effective compared to other payment options.
In contrast, a fee of 100 baisas only applies to transfers between different banks and does not impact store purchases. The bank emphasizes the importance of verifying information through reliable sources to avoid misinformation.
