Muscat – The Ministry has issued a statement in response to recent social media discussions regarding the Haima-Thumrait road dualization project. The ministry aims to clarify that, in coordination with the Ministry of Finance and the General Secretariat of the Tender Board, tenders have been issued for the remaining segments of this important infrastructure project.

The dualization project covers a 400-kilometer stretch from Haima to Thumrait. The ministry is currently finalizing the selection process for a contractor to carry out the remaining work and award the project. This step is crucial in advancing the completion of the road, which plays a significant role in enhancing the efficiency of Oman’s transportation system.

The Haima-Thumrait road is a key national and strategic route that supports economic, tourism, and social activities, particularly during the Khareef season when the region attracts a large number of tourists.
