Muscat – The Ministry stated that it is diligently seeking to raise the level of protection of official accounts used on social media apps and related websites to protect them from hacking or attempts to impersonate their official status for the purposes of misuse or spreading rumours.
The Ministry stated that it is working to create and update circulars on security measures and guidelines in accordance with requirements and challenges.
The guidelines provide clear instructions for government agencies on how to enhance their social media security, ensuring compliance with internal policies and addressing emerging cybersecurity challenges.
The Ministry emphasized its commitment to continuously updating the guidelines to keep pace with the evolving digital landscape and maintain the integrity of government online presence.
