MUSCAT : The supermoon occurs when the moon reaches its full phase while being at perigee, its closest point to Earth in its orbit, which is approximately 363,187 kilometers away.

As the supermoon rises, viewers are encouraged to look towards the eastern horizon at sunset to fully appreciate its enhanced size and brightness. This rare event offers a perfect opportunity for photographers to capture the moon in its magnificent glory.
