Oman Air boosts capacity, transports 50,000 passengers to Salalah in July

Oman Air has implemented a set of strategic measures on its flights to Salalah to meet the increasing demand during the Khareef season, which resulted in enhancing operational capacity during peak times, by operating up to 11 flights daily between Muscat and Salalah.

Muscat – Oman Air has also upgraded some flights to wide-body aircraft, with a seating capacity of 290 seats, providing about 4,500 additional seats during the season.

As per a statement issued by the company, the total number of passengers it transported on its flights to Salalah, during the month of July, reached 50,000. This demonstrates that about 70 percent of the passengers benefited from the fixed promotional price of RO 54 for Omanis on an economy class ticket.

Michel Rutter, Chief Commercial Officer at Oman Air, explained that Salalah, especially during the Khareef season, is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Sultanate of Oman, and the company is committed to enhancing flights to it in response to the increasing demand from travelers, thereby and contributing to achieving national goals during this season.

He said that in order to support citizens and provide them with trips at competitive prices, the company launched a fixed price for Omanis throughout the year. He pointed out that the fixed ticket price is RO 54 for a round trip during the khareef season and RO 64 for the rest of the year.
