Muscat – The event, held under the patronage of Sheikh Haitham Al-Shehi, Deputy Wali of Liwa, marked the successful completion of the 2024 initiative aimed at equipping Oman’s youth with essential skills in advanced technologies and career exploration.

The Maseer program, a partnership between SOHAR and Kidsity, offered specialized training in various fields including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, cloud data, smart city development, web development, Arduino programming, 3D CAD, photography, and renewable energy. The program emphasized practical learning and real-world applications, preparing students to engage with emerging digital opportunities.
Throughout the three-week program, participants took part in workshops led by industry experts, gaining hands-on experience with new technologies. The closing ceremony highlighted their hard work and innovative projects, showcasing the skills they acquired.
Aisha Al-Muqbali, a program participant, praised the experience, particularly the 3D design workshops, stating, “The Maseer programme was an incredible opportunity to learn new skills that will benefit me in the future. The 3D design workshops were especially enjoyable, and I appreciated the hands-on approach that made the learning process engaging.”
Mohammed Al Bahri, another participant, commented on the programme’s impact on his English skills, saying, “Joining the programme not only improved my English but also offered fun and engaging workshops. The competitions were particularly exciting, and I feel more confident speaking English now. I highly recommend this program for its enjoyable and valuable learning experience.”
The Maseer program reflects SOHAR Port and Freezone’s commitment to developing local talent and empowering Omani youth. By focusing on skill development and providing access to advanced training, the initiative supports Oman’s goals for economic diversification and sustainable development, preparing the next generation for future challenges.
