Oman’s CPA amends Employee Affairs Regulations

The Consumer Protection Authority (CPA) has issued Decision No. 2/2024, introducing amendments to its Employee Affairs Regulations.

MUSCAT : The amendments include updates to Article 18, allowing for the appointment of candidates to vacant positions without prior announcement if the roles require rare expertise or are of a special nature.

Additionally, Article 114 has been revised to grant employees five days of paid emergency leave per year, with the possibility of an additional five days, subject to approval by their direct supervisor or delegate.
