Oman feels the heat as temperatures soar across the country, with Hamra Al-Duru recording the highest at a blistering 47.1ºC.

Muscat: The heat in Oman showed no signs of easing yesterday, with Hamra Al-Duru’ leading the way by hitting a searing 47.1ºC, the highest temperature recorded in the country. Other areas also experienced intense heat, with Sunaynah reaching 46.8ºC and Maqshin following close behind at 45.8ºC.

In Ibri, the mercury climbed to 45.7ºC, while Buraimi wasn’t far behind at 45.6ºC. Dama Wa Taiyyin and Fahud recorded 45.5ºC, adding to the sweltering conditions felt nationwide. Haima registered a slightly lower but still intense 44.6ºC.
