The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 (Streaming on Amazon Prime on August 29)
It’s time again to head back into the enchanting Middle-Earth. Although the first season had mixed reviews, the show’s creators are backing up to bring the next season to progress the pursuit of Sauron to create the Rings of Power.
If you aren’t aware of the show, the drama series takes place thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Hobbit” and “The Lord of the Rings” books.
Season 1 cost around $700 million, so the prediction is that the second season will be as expensive and grand, with stunning visuals and interesting characters to watch. So, it’s time to polish up your Sindarin and Quenya and get back into action.
Alien: Romulus (In Cinemas on August 16)
In the seventh instalment of the Alien franchise, our space cadets are exploring the vastness of space to find a place to colonise the vast darkness that lies beyond the horizon.
Produced by Ridley Scott, this latest instalment is directed by Fede Álvarez, who has given out heavy projects like Evil Dead (2013) and Don’t Breathe (2016).
Every Alien movie is filled with excitement and wonder as to what more can be done with this franchise. It may or may not be a critical masterpiece, but it could definitely be worth the excitement and the bucks you paid for your popcorn.
