PAKISTAN: Pakistan’s health department in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has identified three cases of mpox virus in travellers arriving from the UAE. The detection of the virus comes at a time when the World Health Organization has declared a recent outbreak of mpox as a public health emergency of international concern, highlighting the emergence of a new virus variant.
