MUSCAT: The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth (MoCSY) on Thursday launched a campaign titled ‘We are with you’ to support the national football team in their final and deciding round of the Asian qualifiers to 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The event was held under the patronage of His Excellency Basil bin Ahmed Al Rawas, Under-Secretary of Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, in the presence of Sheikh Salim Al Wahaibi, Chairman of Oman Football Association (OFA).
Oman are drawn in a group that has South Korea, Iraq, Jordan, Palestine and Kuwait in Group B. The Red Warriors will begin their campaign in the Asian qualifiers against Iraq on September 5.

Speaking at the event, legendary footballer and former Oman captain Ali Al Habsi said: Captain Ali Al Habsi: “The chances of qualifying for the 2026 World Cup have doubled and we must seize the opportunity to qualify.”
