Oman’s SAI highlights AI innovations at GCC anti-corruption event in Qatar

The State Audit Institution (SAI) underscored the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) in boosting audit systems at the 2024 annual event of the GCC anti-corruption authorities and institutions.

Muscat – The event, hosted by Qatar’s Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA), brought together anti-corruption experts from across the Gulf Cooperation Council to discuss the role of technology in promoting integrity and combating corruption.

The SAI’s working paper, titled ‘Artificial Intelligence Applications in Strengthening the Control System,’ delved into the ways AI can enhance audit processes and identify potential irregularities.

Member states also presented a number of working papers at the event, including the use of technology in strengthening integrity and combating corruption, the use of artificial intelligence in combating corruption crimes, as well as artificial intelligence applications in strengthening the control system, in addition to the role of government digital transformation in protecting integrity and combating corruption.
