Omani students represent a bright future of innovation in Uzbekistan

Omani students have made a mark at the regional finals of Huawei's "Seeds for the Future" program in Uzbekistan.

UZBEKISTAN: Omani students have proudly represented their country at the regional finals of Huawei’s “Seeds for the Future” program, held in the Republic of Uzbekistan. This prestigious event, dedicated to university students from the Middle East and Central Asia, aims to enhance knowledge and develop global talents in information and communications technology (ICT).

The regional finals brought together 150 students from 14 countries, including Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Iraq, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and host nation Uzbekistan. Participants showcased their innovative projects in the Tech4Good competition, vying for a chance to advance to the global finals in China next year.

Huawei’s “Seeds for the Future” CSR Program, launched in 2008, has been a trailblazer in nurturing ICT talent worldwide. With over 18,000 students from 141 countries involved and collaboration with more than 500 universities, the program is committed to fostering the next generation of ICT leaders and innovators.

The competition’s specialized jury will select two standout teams representing the region in the global finals.
