MUSCAT : The Sadeem Hackathon, hosted by the Sultanate of Oman’s Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, kicked off in Salalah, Dhofar Governorate, as a key component of the Gulf Science Forum. This pioneering event brings together 38 innovators from various educational institutions across Oman, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Jordan, and Morocco.

The hackathon is set against the backdrop of Oman Vision 2040, focusing on generating innovative solutions for the tourism sector in Dhofar. Participants are tasked with addressing local challenges and developing practical strategies to enhance tourism and boost the region’s appeal.

The hackathon’s objectives include fostering innovation, sharing experiences, and motivating Arab youth to develop intellectual creativity. By engaging young innovators from across the Arab world, the event aims to promote skills development, enhance communication among youth, and involve them in tackling national challenges.
