Muscat – This resolution highlights the Directorate’s commitment to safeguarding consumer rights.
The issue began when a consumer filed a complaint regarding delays by an aluminum workshop responsible for fabricating and installing windows at his residence. The workshop failed to meet the agreed timeline, prompting the consumer to register a complaint with the CPA.

The Directorate intervened, initiating legal proceedings and summoning both parties for a resolution. A mutually agreeable settlement was reached, leading to the cancellation of the contract and the full refund of the consumer’s payment.

The Authority reiterated its dedication to enforcing consumer rights and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory standards by suppliers. This proactive stance aims to maintain a fair and transparent marketplace and hold service providers accountable.
