Muscat – The event will take place at Mokha Beach in the Wilayat of Sur, as part of the executive program for Sur, the Arab Tourism Capital 2024.
The festival aims to showcase the tourism potential of Sur and the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate, highlighting its historical maritime significance and cultural heritage. The event is designed to attract both local and international visitors, promoting the area’s unique offerings and boosting its profile as a tourist destination.


Organized by Oman Sail, the festival will feature the Oman Sailing Championship 2024, with competitions across four categories: professionals, juniors, Elka 4 boats, and Elka 6 boats. Additionally, the festival will include kitesurfing races, swimming races, and traditional rowing boat races. Visitors can also enjoy sailing experiences with “Diam” boats, offering a range of exciting maritime activities.
The festival will feature a dedicated fan area, an exhibition of small and medium enterprises and handicrafts, food stalls, and a variety of entertainment options. It will also emphasize community involvement, with numerous activities and events organized to engage local residents.
By fostering sailing skills among youth and adolescents, the festival aims to boost tourism and reinforce Oman’s standing on the global sailing stage, positioning the Sultanate as a premier destination for international sailing races and adventure tourism.
